New members are welcome all year round, with a beginner’s course running both semesters.
It doesn’t matter whether you want to try fencing for the first time, get back into the sport after a year or two away, or continue fencing at the highest levels, we’ll accommodate for you!
All you need to do is bring a pair of trainers and sportswear (not shorts though!). Then come along to one of our training sessions and we’ll provide everything else.
Membership for a full academic year is £50 and for one semester, it’s £30.
An option to pay your membership fee online is available at the end of the form. If you wish to pay by cash feel free to do so. Simply approach one of the committee members when you come to a training session.
As with all clubs within the University, you will have to purchase a University of Glasgow Sport membership as well. You can find more detail about the University of Glasgow Sport membership here.
Fencing Membership Includes:
- Equipment Hire for Training Sessions
- Individual & Group lessons given by Qualified Coaches
- Access to all of our Socials & Events
- The chance to compete in inter-university competitions
Once you are a member of the club you will be added to our current members group on Facebook (if you have an account). This group is used for a lot of our communication throughout the year. But we will send out emails regularly, update our website and Public Facebook page as well.
Our training sessions are scheduled to be held on Wednesdays from 8pm to 10:15pm and Fridays from 6pm to 7:30pm at the Stevenson Building on the Main Campus. More details about our training times can be found here.
